What are Helical Piles?
Connection Bolts
Connection bolts attach the drive head adapter or the extension to the lead section. In some cases, several extensions will need to be connected together.
Helix Plate
A true helix plate is welded to the shaft and is the main bearing source for the pile.
Pile Cap
The pile cap/load transfer device (LTD) is used to connect the structure to the helical pile.
Shaft
The shaft is a hollow round pipe with a chamfered end to assist in advancing the pile into the ground.
